Is there something you used to wear but realized it was sending a wrong message about your personality so you stopped?

So recently I got into graphic tees cause people like celebs I looked up to for one reason or another wear them a lot. So I’m cheap so I decided not to buy brand new tees of bands I listen to or whatever and just see what I could find at thrift shops or for super cheap at other stores

i found a bunch of them over the past few months like Michael Jackson tee, Splash Mountain, and so on.

but today I put one on which was a graphic tee of some animal I thought was pretty j guess lol. I looked in the mirror and felt like I look like a dad who’s trying to be cool. I had to take that shirt off.

then I googled splash mountain because I started wondering what message others see when they see my tees. And I found out that it’s a racist Disney water park. Da heck?

and as we all know Michael Jackson was accused of child molestation in that movie recently. It made me realize that these shirts from the thrift shop are there for a reason. They are unwanted FOR A GOOD REASON. it’s cause people don’t want to be associated with those things anymore LOL. it all makes sense now

so next time you go shopping at a thrift store… just remember that item is there for a reason !

Another shirt I had was Grateful Dead I realized that the message that sends is that I admire old white men and want old quite men to approach me LMAO now don’t get me wrong I am open to old men. Lmao like for marriage but do I really want every white man to see me and think I’m desperate for them? No

also I think I’m gonna toss all my graphic tees and stick to buying plain shirts. Let the focus be on me. I’m good enough.
