Do you like to country dance? Are you any good at it?

I know this may be the country girl in me talking, but city people can like it too.

I'm good at the two-step and great at line dancing but getting out to a good country dance party is a blast.

There are some celebrations going on today here, so I decided to get out and join them.

I went country dancing today and it was a blast. I'm so incredibly happy and energized from it all, loads of fun.

If you aren't sure what county dancing is, watch these two pros, they are the best.

I'm not that good but I decided I'm going to sign up for some classes to work on getting that good. It will give me a goal in life that is also fun.

My husband didn't want to go with me, but I still had fun making friends and dancing with others but then this song came on and I have it stuck in my head now.

It made me miss him, especially all that we've been through the last couple of weeks. Literally started crying. As every little thing was making me think of him.

I'm so grateful to have him, is all I can say and I am so happy to be home with him now tonight and telling him the good news.

That he gets to go take these classes with me.

There's waaaayyyyyyyyy too many steps to remember in country line dancing. If it's a simple two-step, I can handle that.

Only to.38 Special

My hunting buddy tried to teach me, 15 years ago, He said, "Lets go a couple towns over, there's a new country bar there.. but you have to dance the first time you go in there." So he pulled out his revolver, its a 'lesser charged' .357 magnum (so that makes it a 'special' as opposed to a magnum) and shoots at my feet, well, I danced just like in the cowboy movies.

A few months ago I realized the rounds he used, basically turned the revolver into a.38 Special.

Yes I trust him with my life. :-)

hi there i love country and line dancing, i started taking line dancing many years ago and took to it like a duck to water within 2 months i was standing in for our teacher and teaching the class , within 3 months she put me in for my first competition which i came 2nd but since then i have won 14 competitions 4 as a pair, i can't do it any more due to a Ankle injury but i still teach my kids. that picture you put up is from Footlose and its called Fake ID and was won of my fav dances. I do miss it though

Used to go to one when I lived in Cambridgeshire, East Anglia

To explain Cambridgeshire and East Anglia, think of a very flat rural farming area.

This meant things like barn dances and village hall dances.

been to a lot of country bars over the years but really not that good at country dancing to be honest. i see other people dance when there and just not at that level or good enough to keep up

I’m a decent dancer, so line dancing is okay. But i’ve never learned other steps and i wouldn’t dare attempt them in a live crowd.
