@Guardian45 because people are lazy and don't trust pharmaceutical companies. they created the virus and now they want us to take the vaccination? that's fucked up
@Ad_Quid_Orator But you got the vaccines so your not at risk so why are you taking away his choice to bodily autonomy? The only people who would be at risk are the ones who decide not to get the vaccine so you have literally no reason to demand that others obey your will unquestioning (for a disease that has a mortality rate of point three percent) unless your goal is not about protecting people but about controling them. So are you for people being free to choose or are you a totalitarian dictator?
@Ad_Quid_Orator Also that is a terrible argument, your saying it takes away other peoples choices ergo you have the right to take other peoples choices. That doesn't make any sense, either their rights matter or they don't, if they don't then your an authoritarian and this has nothing to do with rights, or they do matter in which case you have no reason to demand others obey your every whim. Either way your an authoritarian.
@hellionthesagereborn Actually, the less people get vaccinated, the more opportunities the virus has t reproduce and evolve new strains that will be able to infect people who have been vaccinated. Bodily autonomy doesn't give you the right to put others in danger by allowing your respiratory tract to be a breeding ground for viruses any more than property rights allow you to have a tank of poison gas on your lawn. Why, because you're denying others the freedom to live without fear of dying from respiratory problems. Forget authoritarian, that's some totalitarian grade shit.
Or do use a more direct analogy, instead of a tank of poison gas, bat and pangolins in close proximity which mom and pop wet markets in Wuhan were able to do because in 2016 the CCP amended their endangered species act to allow pangolins to be kept in wet markets (i. e. they "lifted the regulatory burden off small businesses").
@Ad_Quid_Orator But that is their choice so the only people affected are the people who are willing to take that risk so again, this has nothing to do with the virus but everything to do with authoritarianism. Your anti freedom and anti science.
@hellionthesagereborn Again, that's not true because if the virus is allowed to fester, it increases the probability that new strains emerge that can infect people who have been vaccinated. If you can't recognize that, you're an anti-science totalitarian who thinks your freedom is the freedom to oppress others. Vaccinations are a far less severe infringement on liberty than having to stay isolated for fear of contracting a deadly disease.
@Ad_Quid_Orator Incorrect. Herd Immunity isn't something that is made up, its a reality. Enough people become immune through acquring the virus (and many people have without symptoms which we know about thanks to the multiple antibody studies done) or through vaccine and the virus becomes unable to transmit effectivelly enough to be a real threat. So everything you stated is in fact, anti-science.
@hellionthesagereborn Nope, viruses mutate and recombine to form new strains that are resistant to medications or can infect people who had been exposed to prior strains. I see the rights' anti science stance with regards to evolution has persisted to 2020-2021.
@Ad_Quid_Orator Again, your anti science, their is no reasoning with you. "Herd immunity (also called herd effect, community immunity, population immunity, or mass immunity) is a form of indirect protection from infectious disease that can occur with some diseases when a sufficient percentage of a population has become immune to an infection, whether through vaccination or previous infections, thereby reducing the likelihood of infection for individuals who lack immunity. Immune individuals are unlikely to contribute to disease transmission, disrupting chains of infection, which stops or slows the spread of disease. The greater the proportion of immune individuals in a community, the smaller the probability that non-immune individuals will come into contact with an infectious individual."
@hellionthesagereborn And the longer we wait to reach herd immunity (by people not getting vaccinated) the more opportunities the virus has to diversify into new strains that can infect people who have been vaccinated or were previously exposed to the virus. So you calling me anti-science is just projection.

Not getting it. PERIOD!!! Do not want them to test their political vaccine on me.

For the moron who downvoted, I cannot get it because I have reactions to certain medications.

Well if you're into that, we can put in a suppository for you :)
@Ad_Quid_Orator His body his choice. Whats it to you?
@hellionthesagereborn That pathogens spread from one body to another and when you spread them you take the choice from others.
