What would you do if you receive very mean comments on GAG?

I’m fine with constructive criticisms but comments that are straight up mean as hell makes me more likely to delete them.

Start an argument with them

Ignore them

Delete their comments

Disagree with their comments

Most of the time, I just block people like this. And if they're doing it on a post I made, I erase their comments do, just to be a dick about it.

Last week though, I had some chick talking a ton of sh*t to me on a post. This chick was a level 2 user and probably only on the site for a couple days. I wasn't in a good mood in real life and had a pretty crappy day, so I told her to "f*ck off" and never bother me again, and the "belligerent bossy-lady" (that's me not breaking site policy by calling her a worse B-word) who asked the question threw a hissy fit at me and tried to get me banned off the site, but did nothing to the girl who first responded to my opinion on the chick's question.

In other words, I made an opinion on here, some female was talking crap to me, but the question asker only had a problem with MY response to the female, not the female who started it. And I got suspended for 24 hours on the site for it. I blocked both the female who started it, and the "beyond-borderline crazy black bishojo" once I came back to GAG, and it's probably what I should've done, to begin with.

So yeah, next time, just ignore/block these people. They're not worth it.

If they're just mean... block.
If they disagree but are a little rude I'll see if I can see some other comments they made and if I think that they can debate a topic well I might engage them.
If not then I'll just ignore.
But if I've been drinking then I'll probably get rude.
It's something I'm working on.
It's not unheard of for me to send out a few apologies some mornings.
I'm trying not to be that guy...

It depends. Sometimes I either just ignore them or delete their answers if they comment on my questions. I don't want to get into an internet argument with everyone. Sometimes I'll insult/troll them back. Other times I'll tag one or more of the mods. Once a man left a comment on one my questions saying, "F*** you and your update. You don't get to make the rules." So I just deleted what he wrote and blocked him.

I did get some in the last 7 years. I just shake my head and ignore most of them, if they don't stop blabbering, I just block them. But sometimes I just give it back to them. It depends on what they say and about what/ whom. If they make a personal attack, I rarely spare.

Since I often have no intention on trying to change their mind, I prefer to joke around. Otherwise, I'd just ignore it.

If it violates website guidelines, I just delete it. Other than that, it depends on who it is and what they say. I am incredibly busy these days though, so I may not even have the time to reply even if it's worth replying to.

GAG is "troll central" or "troll capital" which I'm sure you're also well aware of. I simply report offensive comments. If the provider of the offensive comment isn't Anon, I report him or her as well and then block 'em afterwards.
