Is it offensive if someone says you look Jewish?

Question

I posted a picture earlier on howdoilook, asking what ethnicity "do I look like" and someone said, I look Jewish. Now I've heard of people looking Mediterranean, or Middle Eastern, but I've never heard of such a thing like "looking Jewish".

They probably meant that I look like one of these caricatures of Jewish people that you saw in newspapers many years ago or that I have ugly features (such as a prominent nose), right? Although I don't have a big nose at all, I don't get how that moron said that 😡

Yes it is very much offensive.

if you travel around the UK, Europe and Middle East, you see a huge range of ethnic mixes, which blend in to each other.

i have a friend (used to date her) she’s Iranian, she was often labelled Jewish when we were out or travelling around.

in the UK the left (mainly far left) are hugely anti semitic, this resulted in a lot of anti Jewish stories from labour MP’s.
