Example of cheapskates:
- Mark claims to be broke and saving money but he just bought an expensive golden necklace and shoes for HIMSELF instead of helping his mother with her tooth extraction bill or buying his child new clothes.
- Martha is so cheap that she'll use a discount coupon every single time and doesn't even gives you anything for your own b-day. However, like Mark... she spends on fancy things for HERSELF ONLY and never shares with anyone.

Around 1910, Charles Comiskey's Chicago White Sox were a powerhouse dynasty, but he was so cheap he made his players launder their own uniforms, and benched his star pitcher at 29 wins to keep him from getting a bonus for 30 wins. The cheapness provided the groundwork for a number of Comiskey's players to take bribes for throwing the World Series. Comiskey went after them, prosecuted them, destroyed their careers, and the end result was the White Sox franchise was ripped apart and in the basement for decades.
