Can any dog learn?

Question

I have a pomchi. And I didn’t think smart and just bought her last year and I’ve always wanted a very well trained dog. Like stays on command sits on command. Really good recall so she can be off the leash etc. but I’m worried her breed type just is incapable of learning it as I know more smarter breeds tend to do this easily whereas other breeds don’t. And she has been a slow learner nearly a year of having her and she’s barely just potty trained it took a lot of time and effort and she still does it in certain houses but not the one we currently live in only when we visit my mums house (where she grew up for 5-6 months and always went toilet inside anywhere) sometimes she’s sneaky and if someone walks in the house I call her and she just runs to them. I know she’s excited but she knows I’m calling and runs faster and there’s a dog here that has tried attacking her once so it’s essential she answers to me or I’m constantly chasing her is it possible for her to learn commands and act fast to them?

I think when fluff-ball Pomeranians were invented they forgot to give them ANY brains at all. They have got to be some of the stupidest dogs of all time.

If someone gave me one of these dogs, I'd immediately bring it to a dog shelter and trade it in. And right behind Pomeranians are Chihuahuas.

Those little fur balls come with serious attitude and teeth. Don't matter what's going on, they think they're the biggest dog in the room - ALWAYS. Mix the two and you usually end up with an incredibly STUPID dog with an attitude. Are they trainable at all? You can't train them to do much - except eat. Their stupidity is well beyond my patience.

You can always teach an old dog new tricks, just might take a little longer

Smarter breeds may pick things up faster, but that doesn't mean other dogs can't learn.
But perhaps you should have done some research instead of getting a pet. And you certainly shouldn't have one if you are too busy saying "it's dumber than other dogs".

Yes, you just need patience. If it’s something you’re struggling with on your own, then you can always hire an experienced dog trainer to help you out.
