Should I ask to to take a break from checking files?

At my job I have to check barcodes on manilla folders inside Recall boxes.
There are about 20 files in each box
We have a shipment of 45 boxes each week to check.
There are 4 of us who know how to do this.
I've been checking these boxes of files once a week for the last 4 weeks in a row.
The supervisor said there is usually a rotation so you don't have to do it all the time.
It's happened for the others but I've never been swapped.
Sometimes it can take all day to check the files as you have to tick the checklist and write any errors.
Yesterday I was told I was checking them again & someone would help me.
When I got to work the person who was meant to help me was at work for 1 hour then went home & didn't come back today. (She probably didn't want to do it).
Last week 2 other girls took the next day off because they were tired from the heavy lifting.
I was doing this too & came back to work the next day with a sore shoulder but I didn't say anything.
I only managed to check 20 boxes out of 41 containing 15-20 files. I had to wait 1.5 hours because we didn't have the door code for the basement. Otherwise I would've finished.
I'm going to work early tomorrow to get it finished to get on with my regular work.
Is it ok to ask for a break of doing the files?
I don't mind doing it but when other people have turns but not you, doesn't seem fair.
I don't know if they'll get angry at me for asking this.
Should I ask to to take a break from checking files?
