Why isn't there a female pope?

Because Paul was an anti-Zionist agent of Roman imperialism, and basically turned Christianity fcom a Jewish faith into a Roman one. Original-cegipe Christianity was basically a Jewish apocalypse cult, and had the egalitarian values you'd expect from that. Roman Christiasity opted for more long-term stability.
That they STILL don't is basically just stubbornness; the freaking ANGLICANS ordain women now, and they're closer to Catholics than even the other branches of Orthodox Christianity. I don't know what Francis is so afraid of.
will there ever be female pope in the future?
It's possible; the Church DOES change, if slowly (the decision that priests couldn't marry wasn't made until the sixteenth century). I wouldn't hold my breath, though. The odds improve a little if you open it up to ANY pope; the Copts have one, too (although his hat isn't nearly as impressive), but only a little.
This is a pity, not only because it's disqualifying people with the interest and passion based simply on gender, but because it pushes farther from reality the sales pitch for a tv show I once heard: "He's a chmip. She's the Pope. THEY FIGHT CRIME!".
