Where do you get your personal morals from?

Multiple sources growing up. Early on, it was Sunday Mass. Certain tv shows and cartoons as a kid would teach a lesson. Kids books would always have some nugget of wisdom to them. My parents and grand parents and aunts and uncles, my older brother. Friends in school you could learn things from. Teachers that helped me in school. Boyfriends and girlfriends that have passed on knowledge and wisdom. I've collected all of this over the years of seeing right and wrong and how it makes people feel or how it makes me feel and from that it's kind of snowballed and become my morals.

Mostly I listen to my intuition. I observe the way people respond and feel to certain things and try to understand the way I might impact another person. I consider how I like/would like to be treated and I aim to make others feel that way

Also wanted to add— My mom was religious and not too overbearing. My father was nonreligious. I was not raised with biblical morality stories.

I have a very "natural" approach to this, I have never ever felt good in harming, hurting or affecting others, on the contraire... it makes me feel very shitty

so, most of my "personal morals" revolve around that, just be kind and considerate to others... especially with the ones that are different from me, as they are just leading their life in the way they see it fit to who they really are, which is the same I am trying to do with mine

You look inside yourself and decide what you yourself would tolerate or not. You take a cool look at the behaviour of others and learn the lessons from their good or bad behaviour.

Basic ones from parents and family growing up. These days, its kind of like the golden rule. I switch places and think how would I feel if I did that to me.

If whatever I'm thinking of doing would suck if someone did it to me, then I don't do it.
