In my opinion no. I live in Oklahoma and a little no ikr home would get sucked right up… the ones I’ve seen are actually nice and affordable. I hate the idea of living in a trailer park but I guess you can get your own land and put it there.
Yeaaaahh especially in Texas when those 🌪 tornadoes be hitting. The homes already get torn to shreds can you imagine a manufactured home
I'm not knocking your opinion because you do have a dollar point but is any home safe in a twister
@Bklynbadboy12 some are more safe than others.
Yeah I agree with that but that's why I couldn't live in that state it's a little bit too much going on there for means plus they don't give you any warning they just touch down and tear everything up and then move on
@Bklynbadboy12 you do get a warning. You get a day or two. The only issue is when they touch down they can change direction at any time. But the sirens go off and that tells you that you need to take cover immediately.
So they get a 2 day warning and they still stay and wait for the twisted to hit
I was under the impression that when the sirens went off you only had a matter of minutes
@Bklynbadboy12 you do have a matter of minutes. If you watch the news they always tell you when there’s a chance of a tornado hitting. The last tornado we had I didn’t watch the news that day and I was downtown with a friend when all of a sudden sirens started going off. I sped home and just waited it out. That’s all you can do is wait or get in the storm shelter if you have one. We don’t have one so we just get in the hallway. Plus you only have to worry about tornados in April-May that’s when they’re really frequent.
@Bklynbadboy12 you do have a point I've seen regular houses got to shreds in Texas. So would you get a manufactured home? I like them and tiny homes but I'm wondering how long they last compared to a regular house.
I guess you just have to do your research and hope for the best
If you live in a place with nice weather, it would be fine. If you live where you're stuck inside much of the year, not so much.
but, is there enough companies out there to make the houses?
There are plenty manufactured home communities because people view them as low. So the topic of how many companies available hasn't come up.
If there are companies to make it then there but not be much of a demand. I mean pre ordering a house is a rare thing. If companies will mass build they will need a big market or if they will custom build for you they will need the right buyer.

They can be worth it. They are built indoors out of the weather and they can be customized and made to order. You still have to find land and dig a foundation. They can be built a lot faster as well.
Most look like trailer trash.
That's the stigma
