I’m from Rhode Island, US. And rent for a 1 bedroom here is typically around $1200.
Finding anything for under $1000 is a really good price. But even if you do find a place that is under $1000, they won’t have anything included
I'm from Philly and the typical price for rent is $600 for a studio and maybe $900 for a one-bedroom.
When I lived in Philly, I lived in the bad part of Chinatown (12th and Spring Garden), however, it was within walking distance of downtown (maybe 15-20 minutes) and I had a four bedroom apartment that was $1400 total a month. That means, with three roommates, I paid $350 each. The neighborhood was sh*tty and dirty and the AC and heating never worked in the three years I lived there from 2016 to 2019, but that's a damn good price for living pretty much downtown.

Newport Beach, California. Rents here are ridiculous. 550 square foot studio apartments on Vilaggio, which is about 7 or 8 miles inland from the house I inherited on the boardwalk, go for between $3000 and $3500. If not for Prop 13 I would not even be able to afford the property tax here.
I live out west and that's as much as I'll let on. Right now, the average rent cost here is over $1700 for a 1 bedroom apartment. Me, my boyfriend, and our little inamorata are renting a 5-bedroom house in a good neighborhood with a pool and a backyard with privacy fence (very important to us) for over $4,500/month. Between his job as an electrician for the city, and me and "Francesca's" careers, the rent is affordable since the bill is split 3 ways.
Where I live, a two bedroom apartment in a good area that is double or triple the size of a jail cell goes for $2600. Advertisers say you can rent a room for $750 but I think they might be pimps looking to recruit prostitutes because these lower fee ads always say they only rent to females which I think is highly suspicious.

I’m from New Zealand, and it depends on where you live here that determines the rent price. I lived in a bigger city in 2020 and rent was $370 per week just for a little bedroom in a flat with 2 other people living there. Where I live now is a significantly smaller town, and I’m paying $300 per week for a 3 bedroom house with a big lawn and 2 sheds, only sharing the house with my partner and no flatmates.
Alaska and its about $1,300-1,400/month for Condos. Houses start around $2k and can reach about $5k. It’s mostly due to an already high price of living here and a massive housing shortage. It’s not unusual to see multiple generations living in a single family home because you need multiple incomes to live comfortably.
I’m close to the Canadian border US. That I have 3 bd 2bathroom $781 rent with washer/dryer. That during winter, the electric company has a program that covers the electric bills due to electrical outages during heavy snowstorms. Also don’t pay for water bill. Most apartments water in this state is free, except for the homes.

It's the most affordable and financially savvy option by far, but they just can't buy anything because they think credit is free money and banks are evil for wanting it back at the end of every monthIn Anchorage it was $1,100 for a shity studio in an apartment complex that reeked of weed.

I’m from a small city of northern Italy, here rents are various and depends by areas. Let’s say a little apartment (50 sq. meters) is around 600€/ month (to make a comparison… think an average income for a single is around 1300€/month).

Plenty of housing is available for low cost and one can easily get a 15 year mortgage and pay the same or less per month with insurance and property tax included.
I'll probably just go straight to a house once I enter the academy and save up enough money to cover the down payment, closing costs and such. Here in West Wales For one bedroom Expect to pay between £200 to £500 per month depending on area, size of the place and if it's furnished or not. For two bedrooms look at £350 and above.
From Vegas and not sure on the rent depends on the area but it's very expensive. I'd say about 1,000 for a one bedroom. I thankfully only pay 680 for a 2 bed 2 bath washer and dryer condo.
