I'm 30 and he is 41+ he dumped me for not wanting kids?

I thought if I got with a guy who was a bit older he wouldn't ask me for children but it turned out he was crazy for kids.. He also stated that im old aswell and that my clock was tickingng but i didn't care about the biology thing at all. Any else in my shoes here?

You probably won’t want to hear this right now, but honestly I think that splitting was for the better. You wouldn’t want to feel pressured into pregnancy to appease him, and if he wants kids then he can find someone who also does. 30 is not old to be childless, I’m 30 also with no kids and feel no way about it.

Did you even talk to him about kids or did you just assume he wouldn't want them because he's in his 40s?

I assumed it when I first met him. Yes I thought due to his age he probely was not interested in kids. I dated guys that were younger and around my age but they wanted kids.

It's not about being offensive it's about wasting each other's time, as a guy who would've loved to be a father, if I was dating a girl and we got to the point of talking about kids and she said she doesn't want any kids, I don't care if we're 5 years together, I'm going to tell her I want kids and therefore I'm not wasting either hers or my time any longer. There's no point in sticking it out any longer than her saying no to kids, just to waste more years when one could just go meet someone new with similar goals
