I do not have a checking account but my wife does. We pay all our bills with checks and use checks at the supermarket. I just remember having a checking account in college and nobody would take a check if you had an out of state drivers license or college ID.
I have a business account and a personal account. I always use computer-generated checks for my business for accounting purposes. I might write a personal check maybe 2 or 3 times a year.
The majority of people are saying for business & do you print up computer generated checks & keep them on file?
Outstanding & keeping a backup as well is always a good thing especially in the accounting world.
Hopefully you don’t cook your books.
No but I received several from a company and its a headache getting to the bank during work hours as they've closed a lot of them here in London
As for me every other week it’s payday & although the majority of employees in my company have direct deposit I think I’m the only one that still gets a paper check. It is a headache sometime & sometime I wait until I get paid twice before going to the bank.
I’ve been on the job for almost 16 years now & although my company keeps asking if I want direct deposit I keep declining. In my company I’m keeping someone employed when they hand me a payroll check & that check has to go from place to place & from person to person in order to get me paid.
Never wrote those in my life... pretty sure I will one day though
Here is a question do you even know how to write a check?
Lol… I’m not going to scratch what you said I’ll just let it itch you.

Nope. If I need to pay someone I either give them cash (i make tips so I always have cash on me) or I send it electronically
I've never written a check in my life
You mean void checks? You don't have buy those anymore, they put that transfer info in your banking app now.
A personal check (paper) as in you take out your check book & you write a check from one person to another or you write a check & you pay a bill with.
Yeah, mostly for rent and various other bills but not very often.
I remember the renting days & you always had to have a check the first of the month & as for me I always wrote a check when the bill came in so I was never late.
Yep, I usually try to pay it a few days early at the end of the month preceding when it's due because otherwise I'm afraid I'll forget.
I only write a check to pay my annual license plate fee for my car. My state will not accept any kind of electronic payment. So I either have to mail a check, or go in person and pay with cash or credit card.
I still actually issue physical checks to some individuals, charities and/or self-employed contractors.
If it is to friends/family, like for a birthday, I do. I'm doing my part to keep the post office in business. A lot of people rely on it for their news and banking.
I have not written a check in nearly 20 years.
Wow! 20 years, I can’t even go a year without writing a check.
almost everything i pay for is done electronically. All of my bills, my loans, and its all automatic. I use to pay rent via check but after having issues with the land lord sitting on my rent check for like weeks or even months at a time, i started paying via my bank so the money is out automatically and i dont have to worry about weather or not she does what she is supposed to do. Then i bought a home and it yet again was automatically taken out of my account. I basically dont have to remember anything when it comes to paying for things, its all automatic.
I choose A because we do still write personal checks, obviously.
Our monthly utility bills I pay by bank transfer, our quarterly garbage bill I pay by check and drop it in the box since the office is only a few blocks from our house. Tax bills we always pay by check so we have an actual paper trail.
Everyday purchases of consumable we pay by cash, and durable or more expensive items, or gasoline, by charge card.
In 1991, my Computer Science Professor told me that checks were ten years behind the times.
I think I last used one in 2000.
I write a few personal checks to charities that I donate to. All my other bills are paid electronically online.
I have a check book. Not sure when the last time I used it though.
Used to use checks until I switched banks. New one wanted like $50 for a 20 pack and said I’d be waiting weeks to get them. Never asked again
I said wtf is a check? But I really know what one is. I just haven't had an actual physical checkbook in over 20 years. I never even go into a bank.
haven't written a word since 2002. I only type.
But my bank sends out checks for me online to vendors.
Yes I still do. I know most 34 year olds don't write checks anymore
Yes, but very rarely. Maybe to to three per year.
Nope I just use my card, cash or a cash app for money related things
I still carry my Cheque Book & Cash when I travel, as some places have no card facilities.
Several a month. I prefer to pay certain companies with checks. I also use checks for certain charitable contributions.
