Why are we searching for a Earth Like Planet if we are killing our own?

Why bother looking for a new planet to inhabit if its going to be easy as looking at earth and how life on earth is to know mankind on earth is just planetary homicidal. If aliens exist I wouldn't be surprised if the reason we haven't found aliens is they are completely aware of how we treat earth and they are purposely either destroying our long distance probes/satalites that find their civilizations. Or are using Spaces natural traits to block our scans of the milky way. There is almost no reason to welcome NASA, China, or Russia's space programs as friendly so long as Earth is not having a sustainable ecology and biomass. Humanity should work on making Earth sustainable before we just abandon her and end up a race without a planet. That has zero ground to stand on as to why other species should trust us to live with them. As we currently stand any smart alien race would kill humanity on sight for just being a destructive species to a planets ecology. We have zero ground to stand on in terms of any right to invade muchless talk to aliens. If anything humanity is a inferior species by millions of years. So long as earth keeps killing off life cause of us.

You are aware right that a quarter of the surface ocean is a giant plastic graveyard of plastic products so huge that most countries have yet to come to a consensus on what the hell to do with it all right? And thats that getting to the fact most of the rainforest excluding the naturally flooded like amazon is gone. >.> last time I saw the numbers also we are already over 200K and counting species considered extinct. At the current rate its gonna take a state of macro evolution to recover the biodiversity earth had. Pre human destruction.

Yes, I am. I'm also aware that building enough windmills to meet the electricity needs of the entire planet would kill fewer birds each year than domestic- JUST the domestic- cats do. And that pigs, on their own, have wiped out more species than we have.

If you're going to claim that only humanity's actions count, because we're the only species that's properly sentient, then of COURSE we're going to look awful, because there's nothing to compare us with.
