#Scenario Which role do you think you would’ve played if this had been a real life situation (see below)?

Okay so I saw this pretty corny horror-comedy on tv last night. In case you haven't seen it, I’ll share the title after about 24 hours. Its like Battle Royale, Belko Experiment paired with a Whodunit, etc.

#WhatsTheScenario About 10 of you are trapped in the woods. You’re all friends but one of you have a secret. One of you killed someone so that person’s parent has strapped a vest to each of your chests assuming you’re all guilty. There unfortunately is no way to detonate the vests so the person with the lowest time will blow up. However, anytime someone else is killed, whoever is standing closest to them inherits their extra time. Only one can get out alive. Will you kill just to live a little longer? OR Would you let someone else do the killing and quickly push them out the way to inherit the dead persons time before they do? OR Would you only kill in self defense? OR Would you just blow up? All the while you’ll need to find out who killed your other friend, the child of the vengeful parent. Some feel thats the only person who deserves to die.

One of the funniest scenes was when friends started lying on/for eachother. One girl was like “wait im pregnant” and another was like BISH NO U ain't 😂 #FeelFreeToList

One other thing in the film is that instead of killing someone, you can just injure them badly to stall them from getting to someone elses time before you. But of course someone still has to die for you to actually get the time. I personally wouldn't straight up kill someone, but i’d absolutely push a killer out the way and steal the time of the person they just killed 😂 I mean only one can walk away 🤷‍♀️

Crap i just realized even our scenario of waiting for others to die off technically doesn't work because everyone isn't even given the same amount of time at the start. Its ranking times so that everyone is PUSHED to the villain at least once in order to survive. Welp ig thats when i’d have to wound someone and let them bleed out. I can't just straight up kill someone. Nahh

I mean if I'm being honest and I did decide to kill everyone there would be no survivors aside from myself.

That being said I'm not really the kind of person who'd just kill people in cold blood. Unless I was in like a robbery or mugging sort of situation that's different. I mean not saying it's impossible just not likely.

Also what do you mean the vests can't be detonated? That would make them completely harmless /=.

Mmk that makes a lot more sense but then how is there gonna be one survivor if they can't be disarmed or turned off then what would be the point of the situation? Even if the timer gets extended if they're all gonna blow up anyway then you miles well not even bother trying to kill each other. You'll only end up dying tired.

Thats kinda what made no sense about the end. The vest just glowed sayinf you're THE WINNER and the person didn't even try to remove it. The person who put it on them killed themselves early on anyways

Apparently this was a horrible scenario. You’ll just have to watch the movie but no when the person won at the end, their vest said winner and then itself shut down. They just didn't remove it. They ran to the nearest car for help. But throughout the film it did blow up others when their timer ran out

That's a though choice. I'd kill only in self-defense until I find out who killed that person. Because, even if I kill in self-defense, I'd still be close enough to receive the extra time. Then I'd either kill, or somehow expose the killer and there by saving all the others.

Nope even exposing the killer, everyone still had to be offed (or in the film was already offer by time the killer was revealed) because only one person can walk away

That movie has a huge plot hole. If there's no way for the bomb vest to be deactivated, how can one person walk away? If they can walk away as the last person alive, that means there's a way to deactivate a bomb. And, if everyone is PUSHED to the real culprit at least once, does that mean they already know who the killer is. So why involve other innocent people.
What's the movie name? I wanna see this disaster.

I was trying not to spoil the film in case you ever watched. there's 2 remotes that can supposedly deactivate but neither worked. After everyone is dead, the last standing persons vest glows “winner” because everyone had some kind of sensor in their head to tell if they were dead/alive. I don't know how to explain it. But the winner never took the vest off in the end. They just ran for help

neither i'd just call the cops or whatever if the vests can't be taken off easily (they probably should though) cos it's not that dangerous anwyays if the bomb is time detonated, and tell them about the situation then have professionals come and fix the vest and bomb situation. would probably make the person with the least time stand away from the others and keep track of how much time they got left and hope for the best

if like hypothetically that wasn't possible i'd act selfishly but pretend at first at least to not think that way you know so i dont get targeted or picked to die. in a life or death situation i dont think you'd think much about how they're your friends and stuff, youd just think about getting yourself out of there cos survival mode activated, plus most of them would also do that. i think i'd try to descreetly take them all out one by one with the stronger ones first if that's possible. might also team up with someone at first (then again when they're not fully paying attention, kill them)

I think the murderer is the one that deserves to die and not the rest of us unless we helped. But the vengeful parents don't who the murderer is so even if they blowup first - or we will kill them - 8 of us still blow up.

The only certain way to live is to kill everybody else.

Yea in the film the parent dies pretty quickly and the killer “accidentally” killed the teen but yea

Honestly Desi, if I were in that situation, I only care about one person more than me, if she was there, I will do all the killings to make her survive, by letting her take the extra time.
If she is not there then I won't kill but I will push them to get the extra time myself.

I meant there was no way to stop the timer on the vests. I admit i used the wrong term because detonate means to set it off. In the film I don't know if its the vests exploding or their heads but the description of the movie said the vests and in the film they said they couldnt remove it. So i meant therr is no way to “disarm” not detonate

as another said, major plot hole (likely only one of many). i too would like to look over this film now to see just how badly they messed up with this basic concept (kind of a saw copycat by the way) . i mean this one plot hole is on par with old school porn scripts when they tried pretending there was a plot and the sex was not the whole point of the film. hopefully the acting was done better than those at least.

forgot to explain why even if the exosive is not in the vest, it is still a huge plot hole. going with the bombs being in their heads, then renoving the vests will not harm them beyond not knowing timers or would set off the bombs considering the bombs are linked to the timers. now that leaves either remove all vests and go try getting bombs removed by proffesionals (timers still going i guess) or cut/remove one vest, setting off that bomb abd if near others (i would try to be) set off those bombs too. no usable explosive will fail to detonate when exposed to and explosion, including platyc/c4.

then there is theposdible plot hole of why the child was killed in the 1st place or circumstances to that effect.

oh and as to the original question, assuming it could be done because of the major plot hole's issues, i would choose to try making us all die seeing as unless these parents are not just pure evil, and our child killer is evil instead, we are all guilty by association so none of us would deserve to live. plus there is the trauma seeung all others die from rths scenario but 1 survive would leave that survivor tobe very likely so mentally broken as to turn either catotanically insane, being a drain on societytsuicidal or criminally insane turning into a problem later (likely something like a serial killer)

And even the killer killed the teen “by accident”. So technically no one deserves to die except for the psychos who seemed to enjoy killing eachother off. You’ll see once you watch someday.
