Hypothetical situation

A weird gene has spread globally, causing everyone to be the same skin color and same race. What would the world be like? Would it be different?

No it wouldn’t. Racism and hate based on ethnicity is happening even among people who are the same race. There are for example Africans from different African countries who hate each other based on ethnicity even though borh parties are black. There are even neighbouring tribes who obviously live near each other in the same country and have the same hair/skin color who are at absolute war with each other and hate the others only for being part of that other tribe. There have been times in history when for example neighbouring european contries have ahted each other to the core and would cut off their own family for defending or mixing with the neighbours even though they look the same. Same thing on other continents too. Racism and hate come natural to humans and will never ever go away. It’s not based on ”that person has black hair and I don’t so therefore I shall hate them”. It’s humans natural state to categorize things and form groups and societies to which they can feel they belong and outsiders will become enemies and people not to trust, based on nothing other than ”they’re not us, they’re not part of our ”club”” basically.

Nope. You can see examples of it in countries that are almost all 1 race.

Ex: Ireland hate northern Ireland because they were born their so they are a worse version of irish than souther irish, and vis versa.

Italy does it too.

Probably parts of germany.

People of different relgions hate other religions.

Humans have this weird mentality that they must have something "evil to hate or fear" so they create fake things to fear.

We are already the same race. As for skin color, I think the wars around the world tell us that those who want to control others or steal their stuff will do so irrespective of that.
