This is fiction (not real life) but in this movie, the girl's dress catches fire too fast. An ex boyfriend got cheated on and ditched. The guy only wanted to play a prank on her by throwing a stink bomb. It was suppose to stink the place and humiliate her presentation. The prank backfired and instead burn her to death.

The guy responsible for it looked horrified and is yelling for someone to help her. Nowadays, would people actually stand there and do nothing but watch someone die?

Yes the girl would've been scarred for life (yet if they acted fast, she might have lived) but the crowd was watching, doing nothing.

I don't know about others but I'll do anything to save some who'd life at risk or they're getting harassed. I have seen many women do not pay attention to the girl who had a medical emergency and fainted in the train, in fact they got pissed that she's blocking their way to get out and pushed her away. I found that sickening and immediately helped her and told others to show some humanity. I've helped others countless times not because I have to but more like I won't be able to sleep at night knowing I could have done something... If I don't help them.
