Porsche or Jaguar - which car would you choose?

I was thinking of gifting myself a new roarer since the last dividends have been particularly good, but wasn't sure whenever to try for a Porsche 911 (classic) or a brand new Jaguar F-Type.

My next baby

I'm more leaning towards the 1984 Porsche, used of course but looks brand new, but my wife and my mother say they'd prefer the F-Type. The F-Type is new and so comes some 20000€ more than the Jaguar, plus I'm not exactly thrilled about all the modern crap they put in cars nowadays. Plus I think we have too many of those new cars in the garage, and we could add another classic alongside my Chevrolet El Camino.

I've made my choice, but what would YOU choose between those two cars?

Jaguars are very attractive cars but have a reputation for being high maintenance vehicles. And I would guess that it will be easier to find parts for a Porsche.

Exactly. Plus they drive a lot better.
I never understood what my father liked about them, but when I tried driving one I felt I must have one too.

Jaaag. Not that particular model though. I had a Jaguar sport limousine and loved it. Porsche 911 is too small for me.

I had a friend that had a Porsche and it was very uncomfortable. I will take the Jag.

Sometimes I feel I have already topped and that there's nothing else to do.
