Any helpful tips on moving to my first ever apartment?

This will be my first time living alone and I'm kind of excited. I was wondering if anyone have any helpful tips or advice on living alone.

I wouldn't be needing to buy a refrigerator nor a stove/oven since I had signed a lease with an apartment complex that will already have some things that you may need in your apartment.

I will be moving pretty soon and I don't really have that much stuff.

Congratulations , its exciting when first time.

Have you considered all the obvious things like a decent bed , some pots and pans , your wi-fi internet connection? Having the power put on? Which provider? Essential stuff like that , I only know how it works in Thailand / Australia , so everywhere is a little different , maybe collect things as you go.

Check your lease , the initial clean of the Condo whats included and whats not , what furniture you will need in future , the area , local shopping , parks , all these kinds of issues.

Good luck , I remember my first place I was 18 and I had no idea , but I learnt as I went , and still look back on that place affectionately.

I have a decent bed and a couple of hygiene products. I just need some toiletries and furniture. Since I do not have a source of income, I get to live there rent-free and I think they'll give me a monthly check so I can get the things I need.
Since my phone provider is Verizon, I'm thinking of setting up a Wi-Fi plan with them.
My mother is going to help me with the power.

I had went inside one of the empty apartments to see what it was like and it was pretty decent.
Since I do not have my own vehicle yet (I do have my DL), my mother is my only source of free transportation.

Top floor is best. Upstairs neighbors are always so loud. Moving companies and furniture deliveries for the win. If it snows where you live; get the carport/garage. Get the number to overnight facility manager; if there is a problem during the day you can easily go to the office. But overnight you can't ask them the number to call.

I've been worrying about being put at the at the 2-story apartments because what if I fell through the floor lol?
Since I live in a small city, we don't have skyscraper apartments. The apartment complex that I'll be living in, has the 1-bedrooms at floor-level, meaning that there are no stairs. The apartments with the 1-bedrooms are the quietest areas, according to the employees who works there. Also, according to them, the ones with multiple bedrooms (specifically 4-bedrooms; the ones with 2-story) are loud and can cause trouble. They (the employees) are currently working on picking the "bad apples" out of the complex.

Unfortunately, it doesn't snow here in my state. We rarely get snow.

Most of the apartment complexes in my area are 3 floors. If you can find one that is only a single story, I would go with that.

Replace the screws on your door, specifically around the lock insert. Most apartment buildings do little tiny screws less than an inch, replace them with screws that are about 2-3 inches long. This will make it harder for potential intruders to break in your door than it would have been with those smaller screws. Also, keep a bat with a tube sock on it handy for when you’re a little afraid at night. It’s a good weapon for protection and the tube sock makes it so that if your attacker grabs it, you can slip the bat out and attack them still.
