I had an extremely creepy nightmare about my boyfriend being abusive and I feel scared?

It was so creepy. I dreamt that all was going well, then once day he switched. He became obsessed with me. That moment he did not want me to move away from him. He already moved into my house and I had no idea how to move him out. One night he told me if he doesn’t stay with me, to look into the light, as either one of us has to. I looked into the light and could feel myself rising to go to heaven. Then I told him no I don’t want to. I ran to my mothers bedroom and he was outside desperate to come in making odd noises.
This dream was honestly so creepy, the scariest I’ve had in a while. Should I try to ignore it?

Maybe talk to him about it. I had a nightmare a while ago where my boyfriend was having sex with me and then he crushed my skull with his hand and killed me but I could see myself still being fucked by him after I died. It horrified me. When I woke up I cried. I ended up talking to him about it and it helped a lot. He comforted me. Sometimes when we get horrible dreams like that about the ones that we love, it can be helpful to talk to them about it.

Why the hell are you scared? He didn't do anything and dreams don't mean anything 90% of the time. They usually are influenced by things you've watched/thought about that day or before going to sleep. It can also be things you saw in the past. There's a lot of factors at play.

Dreams that mean something you'll know exactly what it's actually about. For example, I have dreams of yelling and cussing at my father, since I have issues with him I've kept buried.

Has he ever been abusive towards you? Maybe that's what triggered the nightmare. I still have nightmares about my abusive sister.
