Around when did you start caring about “height”— a certain age or school level?

This question is for guys AND girls. I avoided making a poll in hopes of some verbal interaction.—

When I was younger, I didn’t care that celebs like Josh Hutcherson, Daniel Radcliff, Bow Wow, Romeo, Omarion, and Michael J Fox were short… possibly because they had adorable faces and didn’t look so short— on screen. But I saw Bow Wow and Omarion at the Raleigh Millennium Tour in 2020 and I honestly started to think, “damn am I was taller than them?” 🤣 Its something about being in person and actually standing next to one another.

Anyways, I found it much easier being into short men (5’6 and under) back in elementary and high school. It was all about the face, personality, and fit/posture for me. I didn't care if the guy was the same height (I’m 5’2) or if he was even shorter than me. But I don't know, something changed around my college years that made it seem like it was just so “odd” to be into a guy that was shorter.

I rarely conform to society’s “norms” but height is one trend that I guess I played into. It affected my way of thinking a bit so I began to set limits of “the guy should be at least 5’7+ and no taller than 6’3”. I know its shallow and I’ve missed out on sone great guys but at least I can admit it and around when my thinking was swayed. I even turned down a great guy recently, partially because he was 5’5. But I would have NEVER told him that was apart of the rejecting factor. I honestly think I could have looked past it, but the main problem was that he was into smoking, particularly weed, and daily at that. Weed is just a no no for me. #FeelFreeToList
