I’m I weird for thinking it’s funny watching a guy cry after he got beat up at a bar?

I don’t know what started it but a think a girl was involved (surprise) but a big biker dude ended up getting beat up pretty bad. Like they had to call rescue! Anyway, after everything was broke up, the biker guy was laying on the ground crying really hard and holding his face. My two friends I was with felt bad and were thinking about helping him and got pissed at me because I thought it was funny. I was drinking, so now it seems like a blur but I do question the type of person I am. That just seems evil of me to laugh when someone is in pain. I do tend to act weird when traumatic things happen.

You know people tend to laugh when they are not comfortable and also when something bad happens, because they are kinda relieved it didn't happen to them. It doesn't mean you don't feel bad

I feel you are right. Like I told another girl, I was laughing but I was also shaking uncontrollably. I mean, like my teeth were chattering. I think I might have been in shock.

I knew a girl in the 6th grade that laughed because this boy got kicked in the nuts. I told her it wasn't funny and felt bad for the boy. I don't know if she really thought it was funny or what but I thought she was cruel.

laughter can be a natural reaction to all sorts of situations, especially nervous ones. the concern would be if you are sadistic

I think you are right and being kind of drunk probably really effected my emotions. I remember when my mom found our neighbors dog dead in our yard a few years ago, I was laughing, then crying, I act strange when traumatic things happen. Even last night, I was laughing but also shaking uncontrollably.

I’m starting to realize that I was probably in some sort of shock. Because I remember laughing but I was also shaking so hard my teeth were chattering. I feel horrible about it now, so that tells me my mind was somewhere else when it was happening.
