I would say it´s a sign of self confidence and self esteem. A person that says they are high value is more self confident than others. That doesn´t mean they are more valuable. It´s a self applicable term like in the past the term gentleman was.

It´s probably the successor of alpha/beta the difference is though that it sounds better and more applicable to real life. To me that word combination is an online phenomen because I mainly come across it online. In real life most people I meet that may fall in the category of "high value" describe themselves differently.

I don’t use terms like that, but I’d say it makes you really immature and egotistical if you define people with those labels. And with the people I’ve come across on here who use those terms.. lol, they need to find something better to do than label others.
