I think a lot of 'highly attractive' women do, but I also think many others don't. For the reason that they know people glorify them as beautiful, even their own families, and they know that guys are always probably going to try to sleep with them, so they can be perhaps more resistant than your "average" girl.

I don't know, I used to think "beautiful girls" were slutty by default, but I'm not so sure anymore.

But then you got others who proactively don't do that because they know they'll get an image of being the pretty girl who is a slut, and because they know that a lot of guys just want to use them for sex, so they resist them and take a stand for serious relationships, which is what they really want.

I don't make assumptions, but I don't expect well adjusted, healthy minded women to be virgins. I think it's normal for them to have been "run through" as you say. There is a manga series called "Cherry Magic!" about a man who develops magical powers after going 30 years a virgin where he can touch people and read their mind. Yet that is very new manga from 2018. I've heard this saying all the way back in early 2000s. So I think the manga came from the saying rather than other way around.

I think it is a way to discourage people from having sex too eagerly. If we believe we can gain magical powers if we stay pure until 30, then maybe that will prevent some people from having sex with anything that walks.
