What are your feelings with the prospect of becoming grandparents soon? How would you feel to become a grandparent for those younger?

A lot of the older Xers and Zers will be turning into grandparents (and some are grandparents) soon! I'm just curious to know how you guys feel. I'm still pretty young but I can envision settling down and having kids in a couple of years hopefully to live long and when I’m established. I'd appreciate any thoughts.

I'm very curious how Gen Zers (the oldest of whom are only 23) would be grandparents soon without resorting to time travel, but besides that...

From my observations and limited experience, being a grandparent is a lot like being a parent, but with some of the pleasures and most of the difficulties removed. I think that most people back away from the idea because it's a sign of being old, but as someone whose hair started going gray at 17, and starting thinning at 18, that doesn't bother me.

When my niece was born, it was after my mother had died; since she never got the chance to know/brag about her grandkids, I did it for her. I taught my niblings to play rummy while holding a Pirouline between their teeth and lips like a cigar, in the same way my grandmother taught me. They even (of their own volition, though I certainly didn't oppose it) started referring to me as "uncle-grandma", until they went to school and their teachers found out, and my siblings made them stop.

I can't wait to be a parent, let alone a grandparent.. But that's a ways away for me, if it even happens.. You never know how things will get in the future..

Wow 20 years ago is so crazy dude… people would think you old 😂😂 man it would be a blessing and feeling becoming a parent and grandparent is indescribable but having them grandkids is sum else apart from it

After 25 you you start to realize that 30 is not old at all.. 😂😂.. Yeah I can imagine the indescribable feeling of welcoming your own offspr into the world.. Let alone Grandparents..

If i had a kid, i’d ask they keep it in their pants/keep their legs closed til they are at least 18+ and out of my house. I rather not become a grandparent to a teen mom/dad

I would love it but, I'd need to become a parent, first and, it's not looking like that's very likely to happen!
