For those who was around the early 80s, what are your thoughts on Michael Jackson’s album “Thriller” becoming 42 years old now and remains the best selling album of all time since 1982?
I liked it when it came out. But I listened to it in full recently and thought it was just average and over-rated. I've never been a Michael Jackson fan. I got turned off by him when he was still a child singer in the Jackson Five, singing horrible bubblegum music.

Groundbreaking, nothing like it, and I am saying this as someone who is not a fan of his music, nor him as a human.
I remember the first time I saw the 'Thriller' video I had no idea what I was watching, but I was into all the zombie shit.
It is good for what it is but, like most huge selling albums, totally overrated.
Just because something is popular doesn't make it good.
Looooooooooved!!!
He’s my favorite artist 4ever🤍

It was very heavy, what with Eddie Van Halen soloing in 'Beat It' then the live TV performance in '83 when he showed the world the Moon Walk. I was a metal head but I always liked Michael quite a lot.
I liked it I'm fan of Michael Jackson
Of course it remains the best selling of all time; because few artists actually release albums and nobody buys them anymore.
it was over rated at the time too.
I always thought that Carole King's Tapestry album is the best seller of all time.
I can't say. I never heard it.
It was good
