I have no preference. That should be left entirely up to the woman and her Dr

With my last birth I almost needed one cuz my placenta was blocking the cervix. Thankfully it moved up and i was able to give birth naturally
50 ReplyFirst and foremost, as a Muslim myself, I've never seen anyone state that a cesarean delivery is "Haram" so my guess is you're either misinformation or someone who told you this has been misguiding you.
As for my personal preference, it all comes down to how my wife prefers to have the baby delivered, but from what I've known, been told (and seen) from most of the women in my own family as well as female friends of mine who have become mothers, 8 out of 10 of them have given birth via a c-section, because it's quicker, less painful and tiring, and has a lesser risk of the mother dying from a vaginal birth, which can happen if she's weak and tired.51 Reply- 1 y
@BullShark. Is correct. its not haram
There are advantages to both. With vaginal you have to go through the pain and not know when you are going to have the baby. Also, it makes your vagina look different and your lips tend to get larger. With cesarean, you know the time the baby will be delivered and you don't have to go through the labor pains. The drawback is you have a scar but it is small and just above your vagina.

The swelling is typically temporary and your vagina goes back to pretty much the same overall once you have healed. Recovery from a C-section can be longer and more difficult and you usually have more restrictions to avoid opening the incision.
You can still have labor pains with a c-section. C-sections are not always pre-planned. Emergency c-sections exist and are not expected.
1 yBeing a man, I'm not directly concerned, but let me state that cesarean birth can't be a sin when the mother's life is in danger. My instinct as male on the other hand would still prefer my wife to give birth in the natural way, vaginal as you say. Let's also keep in mind that, as far as we may believe statistics, one out of ten pregnancies are problematic.
Last but not least: in last resort it's in my opinion up to the pregnant woman ultimately to decide how she wants to deliver the baby. Her body, her choice.

1 yI actually would have died if my mother tried to give birth to me naturally. My heart stopped every time she went into labor.
If we didn't have the technology for C-sections, your boy wouldn't be ProbablyClueless. He'd be DefinitelyDead.

1 yObviously I prefer the person doesn't have to get cut open, but in cases where it's necessary I would much prefer that than letting the parent or baby or BOTH maybe die! Wtf kind of question is this? I've heard some idiots think it's "less-than" but never heard anyone say it's a sin
10 ReplyIt's a sin! Try it will kill you until very recently!
Baby comes first
Till like 1970s!
My sister was saved by C-section but it's not usually first choice for most girls that are not stars!
Is it a sin? Nope the universe made this baby to big and it won't fit it made the cord wrapped around his neck...

In which religion? Not jew not hindu? Which?
C-section. Either birthing method you have to take an epidural shot and the injection always freaks me out bc one wrong move and you could wind up paralyzed.
Vaginally you have to worry about being torn from your perineal to your anus and that's just something I don't want to heal from16 Reply- 1 y
You do not "have" to have an epidural. That is a personal choice. I have zero interest in them.
Tearing from your "V to your A" is NOT a given. That is a very severe form of tearing that is possible, but not the case for most women delivering vaginally. Usually, if you do tear, it's a mild 1st or 2nd degree tear that is pretty simple to treat and quick to heal. - 1 y
@Apple1996 Exactly
1 yMy mom told me I was born via vaginal delivery, but my sis through cesarean.
Natural birth is ideal, but it's essential to prioritize the women's health and personal preferences. Cesarean are usually recommended by doctors only when necessary due to complications during vaginal delivery40 Reply3.5K opinions shared on Other topic. Just to be clear:

1 yVaginal is the natural way, but there are reasons why C-sections are given. However, as with most things they're way overprescribed in the US.
50 ReplyPreference for vaginal. You could ask for forgiveness of sin, especially if a c-section would save both lives.

1 yWell I do think vaginal birth is more natural and how a baby should be born but there is times where a c section could be done for health for the baby or the mother.
