Is it better to start where you are or start completely over?

There this whole phenomenon of quit jobs, leave your hometown and starting fresh. Then there are some people that start where they are. See what they can do around them

Depends on the circumstances and the person. When I was 25, I quit my job and took a new job and moved away from my hometown. I never regretted it. I have lived in that same city most of the years since I left my hometown, and the jobs that I had were better.

Sometimes you need to start over again. i had a friend that ran a computer repair business in the same town I live in. I thought he was doing pretty well but all of a sudden he closes his business, sells his house, gets divorced and sails to the Bahamas.

I was fortunate enough to find a job I liked many years ago and stayed with it. I am still very happy with my choice for that and actually run the place now. I never really ever had any urge to move away from my hometown.

The only reason to leave your hometown i think is better opportunities or love. I think communities are stronger that way.

In my situation it is better to start over because I still have the time and will power to do so. Im still open minded to the world around me and still recognize my strengths and weaknesses and the ability to adapt. As age progresses it becomes extremely hard to start over but accept the cards your dealt

I think starting over is kind of juvenile.

I had a ladyfriend who did that. Divorced all her friends and moved to the other side of the country. As though that would just make all her problems go away. The only thing she did was burn every bridge she ever had. I'm not saying cleaning house wasn't a bad idea. But to end every relationship, good and bad alike was selfish and immature if you ask me.

Much of your question is determined by your finances. Starting over entirely is very expensive.
