Do you have places you’ve been to or heard of that you would move to if you had the chance?
Following ItchyBoots and others like her on their youtube travels, they’ve shown some pretty great backdoor places I wouldn’t have otherwise known about. That’s what I’d like to do for retirement. Backpack/bike around all the great hidden gems and maybe settle into a fav.. or two, in rotation. Daydreaming.

Far away from, noise, crowd, pollution, hate, greed, etc... i would go in Swiss, on them beautiful Mountains, past the Teenage era so yeah... i could do with some, peace & quiet, ficshing, listening to music, sippin a glass of wine in the House surrounded by Singing birds and pine trees...

No place I'd rather live except where I live: New Orleans.
Wouldn't mind long visits to Paris, Montreal, San Francisco/Berkeley, D. C., New York City, Barcelona, London, The Great Barrier Reef to dive it. Senegal and other points along the Ivory Coast, Turkey, to a Berber tribe somewhere, the Pyramids, Greece.
Starting over. Simply start over where I am and do better. Know to plan better. That's all experience gives you: better planning!
I'd just move to my family's country and establish a community there. That's currently my intention considering the current direction of things. Which decreases the difference there was in these matters. Beside that, I couldnt give a tinker's damn about any other country beside theirs and mines.

I had to make a new start (not by choice) 3 years ago, moved from Las Vegas to tiny town Montana.

Oh I'm not there anymore, I've moved a lot since and even lived the roaming life in my trailer last year, moving every week or two to explore new places as I could work from anywhere remote.
I was flee some bad guys, so wanted to stay on the move. I'm happy now, all is great.

Assuming I have the money to travel, I'll probably go someplace where I have no contact with anyone of my past life. Doesn't matter where it is, as long as it's off the grid and people think I'm already dead, so they can't track me down.
Right now I'm making moves to move out of my parents place. Trying to get a job in the area I want to move to first, then move there because I like how calm and rural it is.

The middle of nowhere in what passes for a free state these days. The smaller the population of people and the larger the population of deer the better.
I would go to an English speaking country. Probably the United States of America. I'd look for a job in a small town and become a part of the community there.
I love ItchyBoots. If I had to make a fresh start somewhere it would probably be Mexico or South America somewhere.
She was having a good time down there. Some of those water falls and unknown beach towns down there need to be treasured before more of the five star hotels take over.

Pffft tough cities to start over in. I can't speak for NYC but I do know Paris.

France and Paris are two different things. I spent a good chunk of time in Paris. Paris is a lot of fun, lively never a dull moment. Also, it depends if you are dealing with French people or immigrants be it West or North Africans. Then there are capital people and suburb people. It is a tiring city.. the phrase metro, boulot, dodo (subway, work sleep) is true. It's a grind. If you are going with a bunch of money and don't need to work then it's a delight. France is more conformist so the work culture is not as accommodating as in North America. There isn't that much social mobility and entreneurship is still not viewed upon with much enthusiasm. It's just not a cake walk.

yeah its a college town. I initially didn't come for the college but I may end up going can always use more knowledge especially out here. Other than my current neighbors its a pretty nice place it sucks too tho because if I want to go to like sacremento or las angeles or even san francisco its anything up to 9+ hours (9+ to las angeles and around 3 hours to san francisco or sacremento)
