My husband at one point, was all those things and I still stayed with him. I don’t think those are dealbreakers if they are working forward them.

I’m in the exact situation right now! He lost his job and couldn’t get a car nor his own place. Been trying to help him find a new job for a couple months now, I feel like he has gotten lazy from not working because there’s no way “no one is hiring nowhere” in this big city!
You’d actually be surprised. I’m not sure which big city you live in, but I live in Toronto and you’d think there are jobs when searching (indeed or other websites) but in all actuality, in this economic time, no one is hiring. Not people with degrees and not people for the labour market.
But he’s working towards something or nothing at all? Those should be factors you need to consider.
