7 moI wouldn't, as much as I'd like to have a certificate of having the ability to read minds. As long as i have the certificate, I wouldn't need the actual ability. Using this certificate i could always claim "I sensed that she consented". ᅠ

7 moI'd like to be able to read certain information. I wouldn't enjoy being able to totally read minds though. A lot of people have some weird stuff going on upstairs.
If I could get an accurate read on their overall feeling or vibe about me, that would be helpful. Maybe some kind of insight into what has caused any significant changes. I've had too many situations come up in life where it feels like my perception of what's going on doesn't line up with the result that actually happens, and I don't really understand what's going on. Thankfully, this doesn't happen too often, but it has happened enough that I've become wary of it.
I feel like my conclusions and my approaches to the situations are pretty solidly based on the evidence I have available to me. But, sometimes there will be a sudden change that happens where the other person totally switches their behavior and either stabs me in the back or becomes quite openly hostile. The change is really quite sudden and largely seems to come out of nowhere. Of course, the person who's suddenly spitting venom at me isn't going to offer much in the way of an explanation, so it would be nice to have that insight into what they're seeing/experiencing that's caused such a strong change in how they treat me.

u 7 moIf I could switch it on & off and control whose mind I’m reading, yes. Otherwise no, if it was just permanently on and I had to read everyone’s mind at the same time within a certain radius.

AskReading people's minds sounds intriguing, but I think it would be overwhelming. I appreciate the mystery and nuance that come with communication. Understanding someone through their expressions and words allows for deeper connections. Plus, everyone deserves their privacy, and not knowing everything keeps relationships exciting and authentic. 💭✨

7 moVery much especially talking to women... most of the time i don't know wtf' she is trying to say. And if i dare ask she explodes "really?" Like you can't really be asking... too bad they are so much worse at communicating than guy with guy! Like she is from venus!
And if people are lying to hide what they think of me, i would rather know they oppose me!
Reference series bewitched episode "truth so help me sam". It has a similar script, as a previous episode, with same idea, earlier in same series!

Anonymous(45 Plus)7 moAt first thought it's sounds really good. But then you realize not every thought is for you. Have you ever stopped to consider how often the avg. person lies? Amd most of it is not with malicious intent. In short knowing all of a person's thoughts all the time is actually a bad thing. For example I person may genuinely NOT be attracted to you. But that doesn't mean you're ugly nor does it mean they can't or won't be attracted to you at one point.
I think if you could read minds you be disappointed about what most people are thinking most the time. Besides, if you pay attention to a person's nonverbal clues they tell you most of what they're not telling verbally.

7 moPlus taking control of their minds.
The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines self-control as “restraint exercised over one's own impulses, emotions, or desires.” We feel all sorts of emotions every day, and it's important to express them. But learning how to let go of control is also important.

7 moI don't need to read their minds. I can simply listen to their words, watch their actions, and analyze their choices. It's a good enough indicator of what goes on (or not) in their minds. I don't need to see all the sick twisted stuff and stupidity firsthand.
10 Reply Some days it feels like I do have that ability
Some days I wish I didn’t
But to actually read mind instead of speculating on what people are thinking would be very useful in many cases50 Reply1.4K opinions shared on Other topic. Yes definitely :) I'm autistic so first it would've helped me a lot growing up. But also I'm already kind of "different" mentally so I wouldn't lose much from having this power. I'd sign up for it right away :)

7 moYes. Because then I'd be able to say things in a way that doesn't offend others and be able to get people to see my perspectives better. It's a manipulative superpower, but an extremely useful one.
10 Reply Yes and no. Although it would definitely make certain things better for you, I still doubt wether you really want to know everything whats going through their minds. Certain things are better to be left alone

7 moNo. I would literally decline, if given the option to be able to read people's minds. I wouldn't be able to resist doing so. And I would definitely regret doing it almost every time.
10 Reply Yes, but then they would be able to read mine. I don't know if that's a safe place to be...
40 ReplyIf I can turn it on and off, sure, I think it would be interesting to know what some people are thinking.
