It happened to me a few times from girls’ through the years , that I just considered a friend, I was shocked and caught off guard when she confessed it to me , considering they never said anything to me prior about it. I wasn’t rude about it , I was just surprised and asked her why she loved me all of a sudden? She would say she was shy and didn’t want to Lose her chance with me , cuz she assumed another girl was going to beat her to it. Unfortunately a one of the girls’ that confessed it to me, I didn’t feel The same way about them , I felt bad , but I can’t force myself to love someone that I am not into. But a few of them i did feel the same and ended up making out with her right then and there. So if you like them the same way they like
You , Go for it , if not , reject them in a polite way.

And then I'd revise what I have done to create this situation I'm now into. Because I clearly participated, one way or another, with my behaviors, actions, reactions. If I didn't do anything to create this scenario, then it means that I have a delusional friend. Which should not happen without me registering lol

Sigh... so it's happened a few times, and at times you just have to politely thank the person, offer a kind hug and explain that you don't feel the same.

Three times I *did* feel the same, but the guy unfortunately took forever to make his declaration and it was just too little too late, either (1) bc I was with another person (in which case I'm fiercely faithful and consider myself very strictly off limits to anyone but my partner) or (2) bc I could tell that I was his last choice after he'd either burned through all the other girls in his life OR he'd missed me and wanted to have some kind of connection.

None of those is appealing to me, so the "out of the blue" declaration isn't to be trusted.

Depend who's it, if it's osmose I'm attracted to it's cool if not I would be like "shit" cause then I would have to reject them and some can't accept no and continue to pursue so it's annoying.

Pretty much your response. Rock and a hard place. Think quick, LOL. Don't wanna be a jerk if a woman is putting herself out there for me. Not gonna say I love you back. It's a tightrope that is probably impossible to walk. You have a near zero chance of giving them the response they're looking for.

It would depend on who this person is too. How well I know them? Length of time we've known each other? Whether they are usually solid as a rock or riddled with anxiety and insecurity? Am I attracted to them a little, a lot, or not at all? Has she overstayed her H1B visa for foreign workers? Is she pregnant, LOL. Is she married? Is she high on acid? Drunk?

You said "Thanks"? Oof that poor bastard. Girl that's really cold. He put himself out there trying to tell you how he really felt and you said "Thanks"? Do you know how hard and how long it was and how much effort it took for say that? That's cold really really cold. You don't have to say yes but you can't just dismiss his feelings like that. You should be ashamed of yourself. The right move was to stop and talk about it one way or the other. You have to at least acknowledge his feelings even if you don't reciprocate or you're an asshole.
