Is it normal that men can still produce life at 54 years old?

Recently my 54 years old uncle married a 28 years old woman (it is okay here in Ireland). He had a son last week. I am wondering if it is still possible for men to have offspring at such later stage.

The sperm quality is greatly diminished and the risk of having a child that may have issues.

The internet states that

Men are able to produce sperm throughout their lives. While ED might inhibit their ability to deliver it reliably as they get older; age has little effect on its quality as it is made daily. Women on the other hand have a set number of eggs; they are all made by the time they are born. So their quality decreases over the years in storage. Generally speaking women have until they are 40 to reliably have kids. That said, I think the current record for oldest woman to get pregnant and have the child survive to term (most pregnancies in women over 40 end, unfortunately, in miscarriages) is in the 60s. And before anyone starts complaining about this to me, remember, I didn't design humans, or mammals, for that matter; I just study how they work.
