Every time I flick on my TV and watch a Hollywood movie.
Oh, the other stars... all the time. I sleep outside during the Perseid and Geminid meteor showers every year. I keep track of the summer and winter solstice. I keep track of the vernal and autumnal equinoxes. Another reason I love winter is the cold air has less moisture (clouds) to block the night sky. I've always wanted to own a large telescope but where I live now, light pollution and moisture in the air kills 9 our of 10 nights for viewing.
Not often in the suburbs where I live. I don't go out at night often enough to appreciate them. But when I do go out to an area with little to no light pollution... like a national park or campground or really any nature trail away from the noise of society... yes, I do tend to look up and appreciate the stars and reflect on how insignificant we really are in the grand scheme of it all.
I used to gaze up at the stars a lot when I lived in my other apartment. It had a huge enclosed balcony and I could see clearly them.
But the ceiling caved in from too much rain and I had to move to a different apartment. This on has a rather small patio and my neighbors are very close.
There are two huge trees right in front of my patio that block the sky.😔 No more stargazing for me. And I really miss it.
Not as often as I used to.
When I was a kid my grandma would lay beside me on balcony and we would count stars and tell stories.
She’s been gone for almost nine years now and when I think about it my life took a major shift ever since that day.
There’s quite a few things I haven’t stopped to enjoy in a long time since she was no longer here to make me do it
Here in coastal Southern California we have this accursed thing called “the marine layer” which keeps you from seeing stars on most nights. It’s basically low clouds that form over the ocean and move inland at night. It usually burns off by noon.
Very often... I actually would love to learn celestial navigation some day. But hey i know where Polaris is at least lol
Almost always. I pause to gaze up the moon and the sun (not directly) as well.
Not very often at all, considering it's a really good way to walk into a lamp post.
Do you live in a city?
There are no lamp posts in the countryside.
Through the city, yeah.
In my hometown I often did. In the city is just too much light to see many stars.
Where I live? Not often, because we don't see'em 😞
Last night I looked up in the sky for three hours
@thegreenyogi the last time I did, an alien spaceship crashed in my truck.
Whenever the sky is clear at least twice in a month is absolutely.
If the sky is clear I always look up.
At least weekly if the sky is clear
Not as often as when I was just a kid.
Anytime there's a good view!
As often as possible.
Always wanted to see a UFO.
Not often, you can't see much from the city.
Every few days 🌃 🌠
