A grocery store in my area kept the store open after a customer died - ok or not?

After a customer died in the bakery aisle of a grocery store in my area, the store kept the store open but covered the customer's body with a tarp. It blocked off the surrounding area with shopping carts and waited for the coroner to arrive. This is Los Angeles, so it took about six hours for the coroner to arrive and to examine and remove the body. I think the store did the only thing they could have done, legally or morally. They certainly were not expected to remove the body or do anything else to it. I don't think that closing the store would have made the dead person feel any better, but some people seem to think the store should have been closed "out of respect". People shop at this centrally located store for their families, for food and other necessities. What do you think?
