My boyfriend can only open up when he's drinking?

that's a huge problem! the best thing is to let him go because talking in a relationship is really important and he just can't spend his whole life drunk. and if you stay in the relationship you're the one who's going to suffer. it's harsh but trust me there are so many men who are better than that.

my dad went to AA it was a bit too Churchey for me but it really helped him after my mom left him.

I unDerstand that I am shy and I am usually scared. Drinking sometimes makes it easy to talk to girls. But I don't drink much and that is a difference he can't rely on alcohol. He needs help at this point.
