Is this weird to go on vacation with my mom?

I usually go somewhere with my best friend , but this year she found a job and will be working all holidays.

My other friends have boyfriends with who they travel or don't have money.

And To be honest I don't have a lot of friends

So I planned to go with my mom to Turkey, but now I feel like a loser , I'm 20 . Is this weird that I go on vacation with my mom?

Because I can still stay at home .

I don't think it's weird. I think it's weird that you feel like a loser for potentially doing it.

You're 20 now. You're at that age now where you can get to know your parents as people, not just mom and dad. Get to know them as they were before they got married and you came along.

You know what? Your mother was probably a lot of fun in her day. After all, she didn't turn into a spinster. And you've probably never seen that side of her because she's your mother and you're always going to be her baby girl.

I loved getting to know my folks as individuals, like peers. I loved going for a drink with my dad on a Sunday morning. And as for holidays, I took my mother to New York on holiday because she always wanted to see the statue of liberty.

Go. Enjoy yourself. And enjoy yourselves.

It's not like I don't like spend time with her - I really like. But I thought like people may laugh that I go with my mom , my friends my think I'm a loser.

My dad died many years ago, and we have only each other, so I think I should maybe don't care what others may think but be friend with her.

yes this is maybe ridiculous question - now I see. But nobody of my friends ever goes with their parents on holidays, so I felt it's strange

Well I would say no. I thought that once you reach a certain age you're not supposed to go on vacay with your family. At least that's what my parents told me. But seeing the answers on here, I guess it's actually acceptable? lol

My parents are going to California for 3 weeks and I wasn't invited. They are also going to Colorado. They're making me stay home and take care of the house and dog

I just get pissed off at my parents a lot so it's actually a good idea that I not go with them and have to be in close quarters with them most of the day. Even when I'm home for the summer I rarely see them cause I'm either working, out with friends, or doing somethign else. Or they're working

I go on vacation with my parents all the time.

Of COURSE you're gonna have to keep your vacation more "tame" because you're with your mom...but there's nothing wrong with having some family time. :)

No, it's not a loser thing to go on vacation with your mom. Why stay home when you can travel? Push away your pride, and stop worrying about what others think. Just enjoy life to the fullest.

Youre never to cool for family. I was invited to a beach house in cali for 3 weeks but I turned it down bec I would miss my family vacation, and fam bef friends
