Catching a guy's stare from across the room?

there is this guy I like and sometimes it happens that we are standing in a room and it could be full with people but I would catch his stare and we would be looking each other directly in the eyes

does this mean something? on the one hand I've never noticed that the same would happen with another persons but on the other hand I think he might like another girl...

It means he is attracted to you. You have captured his imagination. It doesn't mean he likes you, even if he's done it several times. A guy who (now claims) he hates me, and that I "push his buttons" ALWAYS stands around staring at me when I'm in the room and if we catch each others' glance we'd always just stare at each other. It's attraction -- physical attraction -- but doesn't mean that he's going to approach you at all since he might not be available (as you said, you think he's with someone) or willing (for whatever reason) to do so.

i know him from the students hall and sometimes he came over when my roomie wasn't there (but this was in spring), he laughes about stupid things I say, he likes to tease me a bit and once I asked him if he wanted to go to the cinema and first he was like "oh should we ask another friend?" and he run over to the girl next door (they are friends, probablly they kissed but she doesn't want him as a boyfriend but I am not sure if he isn't into her)but she wasn't at home and we went alone an he was really

a perfect gentlemen, he liked a pic of me and a status on Facebook although he isn't online often. once I rushed into his room to visit him and I he checked his hair in the mirror and sometimes he looked up and down at my body or stared at my boobs...

and sometimes he tickles me but he is a touchy person in general and does this with other friends too

99% likes you and if he looks away, (like most guys do) its becuase its nerv racking looking at a girl you don't know that you like directly in the eyes without a million thoughts running through your head.

That acutally made me think of a question for you, if you like the guy starring at you, how do you react?

sometimes I stare back and smile but sometimes our eyes meet a second and I look away out of a reflex

he likes you, that stare gives it away, so does your's, you should try to talk to him, see how he reacts, he could like someone else aswell but that's a price that every single guy and girl take, don't let it stop you. but yeah he likes you, you like him, but I think I knows that, I'm not sure, I would like to say he does.
