Gorgeous vs Handsome? Which is better?

Recently I have been going out a lot more than I have in the past to nightclubs and bars. I've had many women come up to me and say that I am absolutely gorgeous, then they usually rub my chest and give me a sexy look.

I know for guys we tend to label girls as either beautiful or cute. Is that the same way for girls labeling guys as either handsome or gorgeous? Girls, what does it mean when you call a guy gorgeous? Is it better than handsome? Thanks!

These discussions on semantics are rather pointless. I mean, surely many women coming up to you and say you are gorgeous is a good thing. I don't think anyone of them didn't say that out of physical attraction. Who cares if you get 'gorgeous' or 'handsome', they're both good things.

Anyway, if you want an answer...

I guess gorgeous is more boyish pretty, like Ashton Kutcher or Brad Pitt and handsome is more ruggedly attractive, like Bradley Cooper or Hugh Jackman.

What is better depends on the individual girls' preference. But honestly, 'normal' girls would be more than happy to date either one I'd imagine. I can't think of a girl that would say: "yeah, he's gorgeous but I go for handsome normally."

For a man being gorgeous or handsome are both good, men are not judged as harshly as women when it comes to looks, so one girl might call you gorgeous, the next might call you cute, they all mean the same thing.

I've been called gorgeous, handsome, hot, sexy, cute, super cute, really really really cute, they all mean the same thing, just be glad they don't call you ugly.

For me I would say handsome! It has class with a side of sexy! for me being gorgeous means just looks! Handsome has a whole nother meaning it's talking about looks, how a guy acts and most of all how he treats women! if a guy is handsome he knows how to dress well, not over the top but classy and casual. he's the type to hold a door open for a woman, to seat her before himself, to wipe off the snow from a car or even helps her pump her gas!

I think of gorgeous guys more so as pretty boy types, and handsome guys as the more manly types, but that's just me.

By that definition, I prefer "handsome" guys, but both are a compliment either way :)

Gorgeous means that you handsome and attractive and have a good physique. Handsome means that you have an attractive face. So gorgeous is better.

I like when a girl calls me hot. Better then cute. But yeah handsome is what older women call me but girls in school use hot to call guys sometimes cute if they aren't as hot.
