So I get this a lot. I will be in a class competition with someone or something along those lines and they will so "crap she look's smart." or say "oh crap you look smart". Like I don't think I "look smart". It's not like my clothes are nerdy or anything either. Check out my picture do you think I look "smart"? And for you what does it mean to look smart? Do you think they are in a way calling me ugly or dull looking. Because the last recent person to do it is now my friend.
No they are not calling you ugly or dull.
In my opinion, its nice to hear that people think you're smart looking.. its a compliment, in my opinion. Don't know what others think.
I think "looking smart" is something about your expression, the way you look at people/things, etc, the look in your eyes you know, to sound very dramatic, the expression in your eyes xD lolz.

I get that too means you look sophisticated
Nope, when I tell a girl this, its self explanatory, the admiration of some one elses intelligence, mostly when I say this it's not that I think the girl is dumb it's just there level of intelligence surprises me
Probably your hair color. I realize stereotypes are stupid buttttt they STILL occur. Brunettes tend to be "smart"

What does it mean when someone says you're smart?
When someone says you're smart, they're usually referring to your intelligence or your ability to think critically. However, there's more to being smart than just having a high IQ. Being smart also means being able to effectively solve problems, remember important information, and make good decisions.
So, if someone tells you that you're smart, they're probably impressed by your intelligence and your ability to think on your feet. However, being smart is about more than just having a high IQ. It's also about being able to effectively solve problems, remember important information, and make good decisions.
