Guy saying "I adore you" to female friend: what does it mean?

Anonymous
I've known quite a few guys who had female friends and though they were in a relationship and had a girlfriend they seemed to really appreciate one (or few) of their female friend, saying they "adore" her / them.

I've been one of these girls, I had a guy friend and he mentionned a few times how he adored me. Now I never read much into, first because he had a grilfriend and never seemed to manifest "sexual" interest in me. I simply saw this as a way one would say "I like you a lot as a fiend" or the kind of brotherly love two people can have for each other.

I've seen other guys, who though they were in a relationship, had this one female friend that they liked a lot.

And well not so long ago someone mentionned how guys can't really have this type of emotional bond to soemone without it being "love", the way girls can (which is why girls can friend zone guy, they form emotional bond and if there's no sexual bond then it is unlikely they will date someone..)

Guys are described as the reverse. First they assess sexual attraction and they won't form a close emotional bond with someone from the opposite sex unless they're actually falling in love with that person.

So what is it then? Do such guys say such things because it doesn't mean anything to them or are there other reasons?

I don't really undertand this and would like to have guys opinions on the issue.
