I have read like 3 posts of girls rambling at how "EVERY MAN ALIVE likes tanned girls 20000000000% better than pale ones" and I really don't know where that came from, SURE, as a Latino I find tanned skins sexy, and in my race that is easier to achieve, but I am like you, quite pink :P and won't tann even if my life depended on it, my girl is also snow white :) again, since here there are many tan girls, I DO notice fake tans, and you know, fake is RARELY good, so don't go orange, I know I would not really like my girl fake tanning, she is BEAUTIFUL in her natural tone, sure, I avoid wearing full black or I look like a vampire, my girl is so pink and her eyes so brightfully green that she can rock the dark look :P but I dont, also if both of us wore, say, beige or colors like this link we will look like we are seriously ill, what I try to say is, the answer to your question is, NO, it is not off putting if you are pale, but if you don't like your pale skin you can still make the most of it by wearing complimenting clothes, bright and colorfull, probably, like my girl, something that compliments your eyes, and that would make you look colorfull, and that is indeed what most acomplish with tanning, just use color to caught the eye more, but you don't need to add that color to your skin, you can wear it.
Let me put it this way:
IF you DID have a tan, and it was one that you earned honestly because you were out in the sun a lot for whatever reason, I'd be fine with it.
Otherwise, I *hate* fake-baking and spray tanning and all of that crap. I'd much rather have white skin than a fake-bake. White skin is absolutely fine, especially on folks of your heritage, where milky white skin is normal. It isn't GUYS who believe that you have to be tanned, it's other WOMEN who have somehow convinced you of that. Most guys would rather you be much more natural. Most of us are the "less is more" types.
Plus, tanning ages your skin like crazy. My sister LOVES to tan, and she looks 10 years older than she is as a result. I've always made an effort to protect myself from the sun, and even though I spend the last 8 years working an outside job, people tell me I look 10-15 years younger than I actually am.
So, please, do yourself a HUGE favor and forget about tanning. Again, if you happen to get a tan because you are actually doing outside activities, that's okay (but still, protect your skin). Otherwise, be natural.
I don't find it unattractive. I have no preference towards whether someone can tan or not. Then again I am biased because I am unable to tan. I only burn and freckle. I can become tan with fake tan in a can but it turns me more of an unnatural orange color so I don't bother. If someone is attracted to you they will accept you, pale skin and all. :)
Im super glad that you like your skin color because that's the most important thing, that you're full happy with yourself. The net important thing is to never change for a guy because a guy that loves you for you is the best option, Don't worry I have learned to love my white pink tinted skin too :)
No one cares about your skin color, if you are attractive you will be no matter what color you are. Get real and look at what you are asking it sounds insane, I am really pale and I love it.

There will be always someone who loves something and fair skin is no different. If you can't tan with limited exposure to the sun then more than likely it would be best to stay fair skinned. Trying to tan by prolonged exposure in the sun can lead to premature aging, skin damage and even skin cancer. Tanning bed can do the same. Tan in a can looks too manufactured and unnatural. Most guys would opt for you to be fair skinned. Not to mention you would be doing yourself a great service by just going natural instead of predisposing yourself to unnecessary health risks.

Its NOT unattractive at all, rather be unnatural to be tanned during winter, autumn, maybe part of spring here. Getting tan wouln't make you more or less attractive. During winter when girls get rosy cheeks cute ;)
You know what's attractive? Being able to work (with) what you've got.
Taking what you have and using it as a source of insecurity / decreased confidence is a big turn-off no matter what your gender is.
I just like natural skin color, no need to alter appearance for a guy. Pale with red hair is a turn on, but unfortunately never been with an irish or scottish girl, would be nice.
To be honest I actually kind of find the stark white, ginger/irish type chicks to be pretty damn hot. Just such contrast to what seems to be the norm. I like freckles too.

I prefer pale to tan. Where I live tanning is kind of a suburban thing to do that's sneered at.
I don't care if she's tanned but a mild tan is attractive, dark tan is meh.
