I didn't even have to read your entire question before I knew your dilemma and the answer... Every woman you will ever have a relationship with will remember every detail of your entire time spent with them. You'll have to accept that. A woman who even slightly cares about her man logs every word, action, and inaction somewhere in her mind and can queue it up at a moment's notice. A mature woman will not lob negatives about your past at you or blind-side you or embarrass you in private or in public. Any mature adult will want to be constructive and not destructive. A person who is constantly throwing bad things from the past into the present has an issue with being able to live fully in the present moment and will make the relationship miserable and toxic. Women are like a hard drive of useless (to men) information. Then again, I find the fact that they can remember almost every detail admirable. Try to do the same, make associations to facilitate your memory. It can be done. Men are usually more focused at work and the time we spend with our beloved ones if for relaxation and enjoyment, that's why we don't put so much stress on minor details as they do. However - don't tell a girl to quit whining, ever. Try to listen to them even if you're preoccupied with work or stressed out. Sometimes it's better to try and listen and offer a comforting hug rather than giving her advice. Do that and you'll have an easier time with girls.

First she was very well aware that I liked the other girl and she went out of her way to make the girl I liked jealous sometimes with my permission and without. It was her idea, not mine and I made it clear that this wasn't me using her but that was almost a year ago. Yeah, for my case anyway. When a girl likes you a lot, she will notice pretty much everything about the guy or what they said. She could also just be remembering the nickname or whatever you guys were argueing about because she was angry and needed to bring it up

i don't fully understand the "whatever you guys were arguing about." It was two completely different subjects. I'm using these small conversations to get both of us comfortable again cause it got to a point that talking to her scared me for what she would say in response.

Did you try texting her? Text her next time (and she doesn't have to respond) saying you're sorry about the fight and you really wish things can come back to normal. you can also say we don't have to talk anymore and I'll give you some space but please let me know what you want. if you give her a lot of space, it can give her time to think about what happened and she can finally go up to you
