What is the best outfit for a girl to wear to the gym to catch your eye?

Without meaning to sound shallow (which I think I'm doing by asking this), what is the best outfit for a girl to wear to the gym to look hot or at least catch your eye? I've read something about tight black shorts or something.

What do you like seeing on them when they work out on the rare occasion that you actually pay attention to your surroundings at the gym? (I know most of the time you guys are just totally focused on your workout).

Guys notice girls at the gym, but we pretend to not notice you.

Why? This is the gym we're talking about. We don't want to completely ruin the place we come to so we can work out, just so we can "hit" on a girl. We don't want to be "that guy" at the gym. So, rather than being a creep, we just continue with our workout. We can leave the flirting and sexual tension aside, and it can wait until we LEAVE the gym (i.e., go to a bar or club later).

It's really not worth it for guys to hit on girls in the gym, and that's why they don't do it. It doesn't matter if you're a supermodel and walking around naked in front of us. The cost/benefit analysis just doesn't make sense for most men. So, don't waste your time, and more importantly, don't be hard on yourself if you're not seeing any results.

I see what you mean on your first paragraph about being "that guy", the creep.

And reading your last sentence is kind of comforting :p But I still think it's such a pity. The gym is like a nest of healthy young guys with al least one hobby I know we share (working out). Many of them seem very nice, as well. But, of course, I would never dare desecrate guys' sacred fitness temple by, God forgive, approaching one of them. So don't worry.

Well, I'm in NYC, and I don't know how other gyms are around the country, but I just assume they're the same. There's usually been a juice bar and healthy food area right next to, inside, or under the gym. That's usually the "hang out" spot before, in between, and after sessions. Regardless whether the guy gets accepted or rejected, there's a unwritten rule that you don't want to make other people (guys and girls) uncomfortable at the gym.

As far as stuff to wear, that really depends on your body type, what you have to work with, and what you're comfortable showing off. Not all people are the same. You can have a girl with a great butt, but she feels uncomfortable showing it off. Then, a girl with a flat butt may think she has the best butt in the world, and she'll try her best to show it off to everyone. So, it really depends on your unique situation.

I'm a butt guy. Boobs don't do much for me. I guess it's because a woman can't just be born with a nice butt; it takes hard work to get there, and that's what's attractive about it - it shows me she's put in the hard work. Black tights hide the contours of a woman's figure. Grey tights will expose the areas where the woman is sweating. White tights, or really light grey tights (practically off-white) are the way to go. They reflect light the best and highlight everything.

If you're going to go with white rights, make sure to be color neutral on top. No bright colors. Guys will still notice you, because the emphasis for the eye will be on your bottom. If you end up going with black tights on the bottom, then you want a bright color on top. Not because you want the eye to focus on your top, but because black gets lost easily, so you need to stand out for men, like a peacock.

P.S. It's not shallow to want to look physically attractive to someone that you're attracted to. Caring about how you look is not shallow. ONLY caring about how you look, or ONLY caring about how someone else looks IS shallow. Looks matter, but they are not the only thing that matters. Conversely, who you are is important. Who you are is more important than how you look. But how you look is still important :O)

But since I give such importance to personal values, morals, social skills, intelligent etc., that's exactly the reason why I can't help feeling shallow by asking stuff like this. But to actually answer your question: wear stuff that emphasises your best features and downplays your worst. If you've got nice legs - show them off, wear shorts. If you've got a great ass, wear tight short, etc. As for black - it might work or some guys but I don't know why black would be particularly appealing. I often like girls who wear feminine colors, or just colors that suit them. Wearing colors that suit you is a much more sensible idea than just wearing black 'cause you heard..

...somewhere that some guys like girls in black shorts. It would be a terrible idea to wear black if black doesn't suit you, just as it would be terrible to wear pink if pink doesn't suit you. Just show off your body - your best features. This can be done in a subtle understated way that is sexy without being slutty, or in a very deliberate slutty way. I'm not saying either way is bad, but just be aware of the distinction and do what feels right for you.

Guys, especially at gym, most certainly notice girls, especially the more attractive ones. Trust me on this. The way the glance can be annoying sometimes, though. I've had a creeper leave a note on my car.

I know I'm a girl, but personally I go for the tight black shorts (Think Vollyball) With an oversized old band t shirt that's off the shoulders. I prefer something that doesn't show that fat roll I'm trying to get rid of, but I know my legs and butt look good plus if a guy happens to liek the band, it can be a conversation starter.

I just wear either my black shorts or nike spandex shorts with a tank top and a sports bra. I think any outfit would make a guy notice you, even sweats because then he would be wondering why she is working out in sweats and if she has shorts underneath! I sweat a lot when I work out, so I would hope that guys don't watch me :)

the reason guys go to the gym (or leave the house at all, for that matter) is to find girls. It is a little weird, though. Kind of like when you go to a mall and find a girl shopping for sexy clothing. Guys are like "she wants to attract guys by being sexy, but if I were to walk up to her right now and propose that we have sex, she would probably slap me."
