Taken and never talking about your girlfriend?

Hey guys

Is it normal that if a guy has a girlfriend he never talks about her? I don't know her personally, but he doesn't even mention her if I ask him about his plans for the weekend or what he did in the holidays etc.

Another friend of mine, however, mentions his girlfriend very often. I do know her, but he even mentions her when he talks to those who don't know her.

Well, I have to agree with a few girls here that it's perfectly normal - if he's a private guy. I'm a private and introverted guy so it would depend on a bunch of factors; such as how long I've know you for, how did I get to know you ...seeing as how you don't know his girlfriend I take it that it isn't a deep friendship with the guy, which is perhaps (if I had a girlfriend currently) about the only time I would talk about her with another girl.

If I had not a deep and a longstanding friendship with guys I wouldn't mention her much or at all; now my close guy friends (whom I've known from childhood) are people I would be bragging about her all the time

Well for one, you can tell which guy enjoys talking about his girl. I'm just going to assume that the reason why one friend isn't talking to you about his girlfriend is because there's a chance he may have feelings for you. I could be wrong, so again, it's just an assumption. He could also be keeping matters or plans with his girlfriend quiet because he doesn't have to since his plans with his girl are his and her business. Seems to me that one of your friends is more talkative then the other which could also be another reason.

I always talk bout my girlfriend all the time when she isn't around. I kinda like to show her off.

But that's just me

It depends on the guy, I never talk about my girlfriend unless I need advice or asked. The ones I know who do talk about their girlfriend does it to show her off.
