She was right, though. If a guy waited two days to contact me, that tells me he isn't that interested or he thinks he is doing me a favor by letting me date him. Not cool in my book and it pushes me away.
Nope. Not at all. Desperate is in a guy's body language and you can see it in his eyes and feel it coming off of him. If he sends me a goodnight text and says he had a great time, I like him even more.
Of course, but not days. Text her goodnight after the date and assure her that you had a good time if the date went well. Maybe wait until the following evening to contact her again. Of course you don't want to come on too strong, but you want to be respectful of her feelings at the same time because she has just as many fears as you, if she is truly into you. She'll be distant if she wasn't feeling it during the date.
Of course, if it's a weekend and the date went really well, I would not think him too desperate if he texted me the next (late) morning and asked if I wanted to do something with him that day. Heck, if there's great chemistry, I WANT to spend more time with him.
@CincinnatiRedsfan Didn't even bother reading past the "It's okay to have sex on the first date". Told me enough about this take to know that it is nothing for me.
Umm... I've never dated anyone before but what are my chances with Andrea? XD

wish more women would approach a guy or start a conversation with a guy first, make an effort to help the guy keep the conversation going even if the guy was the one who approached first.

I liked her. But I don't know why I still believe that we should wait for 2 days to contact. :/

@crystalt70 - yeah I agree with you. It can be so. But don't you think it'd label me too desperate?

It would put a smile on my face and allay my fears of what he thought of me and the date.
@crystalt70 - well that's pretty obvious. I am getting your point :)
But don't you think it'd make curiosity, ambitions and desires if we take short intervals. (Keep in mind that every girl is different)

@crystalt70 - good thanks :)
You're welcome. ☺
Nothing about the (outdated but stubbornly held onto) rule that its the guy's "job" to approach, ask out and pay?
She clearly stated there are no dating rules... those are included in dating rules.
I don't think so and those might not be considered rules
Considered rules to her.
Great interview. Really answers some of the questions people keep asking on here.
This is one of my favourite Takes so far. What an amazing woman!
I thinknwe should be weary of advice from a woman who's name sounds dangerously close to 'Tire Slash'
I think she's saying a lot of PC stuff, but nothing most won't disagree with.
i'd prefer a successful woman in principle, merely because it shows dedication/ambition.
>relationship expert
I can't be the only person who sees the hypocrisy in that "term"
This is really insightful. Thanks for the great advice Andrea!
One more rule
Why should men have to pay in the dates?
Yet another bullshit mainstream view on dating, thank you but no thank you! :)
I like how you offer NO rebuttal to what she said.

Glad you advocate women approaching men more
