Single Life = Better Life

Love seems nice. I thought I found it. Although relationships seem perfect when people are happy and in love, relationships are hard work and require so many things: trust, commitment etc

Seeing problems on here and experiencing them for myself makes me wonder if single life = a better life. Maybe it's good to be selfish, and do things for ourselves instead of trying so hard to give that to another person.

We only have one life, maybe we should be exploring it more.

I agree that we should explore life, but why does that have to be sans a partner? I actively try to explore the world and see all of the wonderful sights and places I can, but at the same time I am looking for someone who has as much wanderlust as me so we can explore the vast array of amazing experiences this world has to offer as well as the depths of our minds, feelings, and lives :)

Yeah ex loves of lives can certainly put a sour note on the actual feeling of love because we think what we had was genuine and it could never be the same. I am a firm believer things happen for a reason. Exploring with someone is almost always better and I bet you make people think

That's a great way to look at being single. However, when I first wanted to be with my boyfriend all that stuff changed. I still wanted to explore life, but I realized I wanted to explore it with him.

I felt like that recently. Everything shifted to me wanting to do it with him, and now I've realised he is not who I thought he was I regret thinking about 'us' doing things instead of me doing things

there are some people that go threw life just like you described and they were happy that way. you might be one of them. were other like my self was married at 20 and happy sharing my life with someone that feels the same way i do. when you find the right person you always have your best friend there when you need them the most. if its to joke with or even a sholder to cry on there alway there for you like you are for them

there an elderly couple i help out from time to time they are the same way , they recently had to put the husband in a nursing home because she could no longer take care of him by herself. it bothers her deeply to have to do it. but she goes up and spends all day with him even though he no longer knows who she is most of the time..
thats what i strive for to have someone love me like that and to love someone else that much that no matter what happens they are there for me like would be them.

Though for the woman it seems unfair she has to live with that feeling of knowing he doesn't know who she is.

Very difficult for some men;) I believe the concept of marriage was created by some desperate guy who couldn't get laid, so he created a system where one legally owned a girl. truth be told though, when you get older and start losing your social circles, it can get lonely.
