Do you think the "love" that someone feels after seeing you across the street is the same as the love that someone feels after getting to know someone for 6-9 months?
I have found that to be about 99.999% true - it happens now and then, but rarely, and not something people should be looking for. It's a fantasy, and I think most people know that.
@Z-100 How do you even define love? Everyone's definition is different so you can't say that's it's impossible when you don't even know what love is like for them.
However you define love. . . are you saying that after you got to know someone well, you knew them on good days and bad days, you knew all of their outstanding qualities, you knew their likes and dislikes, you saw how well they treated you. . . that what you felt after all of that was not any different than what you felt the first time that you saw them?
It is a disrespect to the word "love" to believe that whatever attraction you feel about 5 seconds of only seeing someone is the same thing that you feel after you spend months getting to know them. Some people want to call it love and believe that is is some special type of magic; these are the people who are not realistic about relationships.
I can call myself Brad Pitt. Does that make me Brad Pitt?
It's not "my" idea of love. I did not invent love, I did not coin the word, and it was used for at least a few thousand years before I was born. The definition I use is a widely held consensus.
The definition you use of love is one you've made up from your personal experience. In this world there are no absolutes there are always exceptions and some are very weird, so weird that they turn into a myth.
But there is still no actual definition of love that is one size fits all so why you're trying to argue that love, something that can't be accurately defined as it varies from one person to another, is recognized the same way doesn't make sense.
If we don't have a common meaning to words and anyone can make a word mean whatever they want, why do the PC police gang up on people as soon as they utter certain words?
The purpose of language is communication and that is facilitated by having a common agreed meaning for words. If we don't do that, furniture spam elicits grey little war rabbit boxes; know what I mean?
My thought's exactly. Regardless of her actual age or where did the OP saw her, the fact that her appearance is a 13 year old and a 60+ year old man finds it attractive said he want to hug her and kiss her and wants to take her home kinda bothers me a little...
@FaithfulGuardian If you saw the whole girl and not just her face, she was obviously 18-19 years old. At that time, I was 23 years old. You can get bothered by whatever you want but there is no perving going on here.

Yes sometimes it can be but again it's not easy to find plus not everyone falls in love with someone just by getting to known them.

Agree with you 1,000,000,000% !!!
That's a LOT of agreeing! :) :) :)
Well, it's a lot of years of wisdom to agree with (no pun intended). Haha.
I believe it exists. I just don't believe it's nearly as common as people say it is. In fact, extremely rare.
The samething I say. We tend to want to believe in things according to our own experience but as I said before: there are always exceptions.
But how can you love someone you know absolutely nothing about? You might feel attracted to them, but that is very, very different to love.

Some people probably can. I didn't say I was one. I've never been in love so I can't answer that.

It's not disrespect because your idea of love is not applicable to all and if the fact that you think that it is is the real disrespect.

Damn, I thought I was old at 62! Hope I get to be 101 one day!
yeah it's only lust at first sight.
Wow! She looks 13. Why you posting her?
She is 20 years old.
She looks 13.
I am not a pedophile. I chose her picture because she looks like the girl who I saw in my clinic.

Apparently, you seemed to be bothered by it as well.
@FaithfulGuardian What you say is "apparent" is not apparent to me. Think what you want.
It definitely happens, but it's rare.
Exist. I falled in love with this woman.
In fact, love does not exist.
Don't tell my dog that.
@zagor Why not? It's not like he can speak English.
That's true. All dogs speak German!
She may not understand the works but she is very perceptive about intent.
