Why won't my boyfriend tell his baby mama about me?

I've been seeing a guy for about 8 months and recently found out that he has a son with his ex girlfriend. His son is 6 months old and his parents broke up when she got pregnant. Anyway, my boyfriend sees his son often but won't bring me to meet him even though I want to. I asked him why I couldn't and he said it's because his ex doesn't know about me.

I feel weird knowing this. What should I do and why won't he tell her about the fact that he's dating me?

if his son is 6 month's old why are you now finding out about this when dating firstly, having a child should be one of the first things one should tell someone so if it's a issue then they knew it from the beginning. .. it could either be she's crazy or he's sleeping with her a little red flag you've been together 8 months and she doesn't know about you.

He probably wants to avoid drama for the time being. Be patient. I am sure the longer you are together and if the relationship becomes more serious, he will let you meet his son.

I just want to know why it's easier to not say anything. The weird part is that he has said that he does want to eventually marry me so she'll have to find out about me sooner or later. Wouldn't it be better to tell her now so it doesn't seem so shocking later on?
